Should you take a car or a bus?

This is not just your personal matter. This is the matter of the whole of mankind. Thinking you can decide on such a thing yourself, without assembling a committee of experts, is utmost irresponsible. Luckily, the experts will find you themselves! But which one of them should you listen to?

The game supports gamepad!
On keyboard use WASD, arrows and space.

There are two cutscenes that start with showing legs for 3-4 seconds - you may skip those on your second playthrough (lol, if anyone would want to do a second playthrough of this), but please don't skip them on your first - this is the coolest part of the game.

For this game jam I wanted to draw some art myself, experiment with 2D-rigging, skeletal animation, Unity timelines, voice acting and skippable cutscenes while doing something trashy and stupid. I succeeded:) Although I had to significantly cut the amount of garbage content I planned.

Known issues:

  • Main hero doesn't have a voice

Love the humor.
"Bus not implemented yet, LOL" actually made me laugh.
It was like,
"THE FATE OF THE WORLD RESTS ON THIS DECISION!"
oh uhhh Bus?
"Wrong! take car!"

Also I must be an awful person because the first thing I do in a game when they give me a car is drive it right into a crowd.

> "Wrong! take car!"
There will be an option to take bus in an update. I actually didn't have enough time for it:)

> Also I must be an awful person because the first thing I do in a game when they give me a car is drive it right into a crowd.
Quite expected. The initial intention was to have a policeman, who would come in case you crash into other cars/people, but I didn't have time for that either and now, having filled this part with destruction I don't want to remove it, so I don't exactly know how should I fit a policeman here.

Thanks for playing

Lol.. I made to the end. Does the game end with the question?

The only thing odd that I noticed was that you can drive over trees. But I guess they were part of the background and not individual sprites.

> I made to the end
You are a hero!

The number 10000 was chosen very approximately: I reached 200 in a short time and I decided I can multiply it by 50 for the final game. I tested the build before packing and uploading, but I only played the game till the end after the deadline and I think 10 000 is a bit too much. I would probably make it 4000-5000 now.

> Does the game end with the question?
At the moment - yes. The game was supposed to be replayable, at the very least by choosing a bus, but it was not implemented. Actually winning this way and getting this ending was supposed to be very hard and 95% unlikely, but dying in a crash was not implemented either. I had to cut a lot. Follow me for game updates:)

> I guess they were part of the background and not individual sprites.
No, they are individual sprites, all decorations are just placed randomly.

> you can drive over trees
Not exactly: you can ride under trees, but the render sorting works wrong here so the car is drawn on top of the tree, but you can't drive through the bottom of the tree

I think 10000 is fine if you can add some variety and events on the way. Maybe a few traffic lights? or some dialogue for what the player is thinking?

Ah okay, so you probably ran out of time by the time you noticed. Yes,  the collider is fine.

> I think 10000 is fine if you can add some variety and events on the way
Yeah, I planned to, but I had to cut a lot for the jam version. For example bus driver (on the game cover image) and policeman were drawn, but didn't make it to the game, even though those are the two coolest-looking characters

I didn't make it all the way home, but that was actually quite funny. You got me with the 'I don't have a driving license yet' and, after you have to make a really important decision 'Bus no implemented yet'.

Yeah, I only had the time to complete the game and realize home is too far away after the submissions closed.

> Bus no implemented yet
Time limits:)
